From the 19th Century Tartan began replacing cloaks with wool itself revolutionizing the variety of fibre available to Māori, it invokes so many different themes in our culture and my artistic impression is to simply look at what it means to the wearer. Detailed with our small Rangitāmiro Print embroidery to make the piece that extra bit special.
