Manaia Print - Tie Wrap Dress
The Manaia Print Tie Wrap Dress features the Manaia — a stylised figure deeply rooted in Māori visual language — reimagined through architectural inspiration drawn from St Peter’s Basilica. Adrienne and Hoete explored the carved figures within the building, placing them alongside their own interpretation of Manaia to create a dialogue between cultures, forms, and histories.
Repeated in gold detailing and layered with a light, silk-like finish, the print carries a luxurious sheen that moves beautifully with the body. The result is an elevated, art-led design that feels both timeless and contemporary.
All concepts were created by Adrienne Whitewood and Hoete, and lovingly brought to life by illustrator Kahira Shepherd.
