The Kōura Wrap Dress in Kōura “Gold” is inspired by a walk through the Sistine Chapel, drawing from the richness and ornamentation of 16th–17th century Baroque art. This print is Adrienne and Hoete’s interpretation of that era, reimagined through a Māori lens — where layered motifs, intricate detailing, and visual abundance take centre stage.

The design weaves kōwhaiwhai and detailed Māori line work throughout the print, drawing parallels between Baroque adornment and traditional Māori visual language. The result is a striking, elevated piece that celebrates the beauty of pattern, storytelling, and artistic legacy.

All concepts were created by Adrienne Whitewood and Hoete, and lovingly brought to life by illustrator Kahira Shepherd.

Designed as a flattering wrap silhouette, this dress offers versatility and ease, allowing the wearer to adjust the fit to suit their shape while maintaining an elegant drape.
