The Arihia design is a tribute to the wāhine Māori who shape us, guide us, and remind us of our strength. Named after Tania Tapsell’s middle name, the artwork draws inspiration from her ancestor Hinemoa. A woman whose story embodies courage, determination, and unwavering aroha.
Adrienne Whitewood created the mirrored imagery as a symbol of self-reflection and inner beauty, honouring both the legacy of Hinemoa and the innate power carried by our modern wāhine. This piece is a celebration of heritage, identity, and the stories that move us forward.
