Taimana means diamond. This design is inspired by the Waharua Kōpito pattern, representing self-determination and the strength found in our relationships with others and with ourselves. When placed in formation with the niho, or teeth, the two mouths speak to unity, connection, and shared resilience. The line work and notches symbolise people empowered together.
