White Singlet - Hinemoa Print

This is a Hinemoa inspired print (Hinemoa a descendant of Tuhourangi, a prominent Rotorua heroine in the well known Te Arawa love story 'Hinemoa and Tutanekai') A few years ago we did a shoot with my beautiful friend and Rotorua Counsellor Tania Tapsell (Also a descendant of Hinemoa) the idea behind the design was remembrance of our own wahine Maori heroes. I drew inspiration from Hinemoa because she epitomises where strength, courage and determination can get you, and the mirrored imagery is symbolic of self reflection and inner beauty.
