Paua print Koroka
PAUA PRINT MEANING
Part of our Taonga series, the base colour printed like the skin of the Paua (abalone) Inspired by looking at resources precious to Māori people, Kaimoana (seafood) being a huge part of our ancestral diet and now, unfortunately, a depleting resource. The almost tukutuku like white patterning overlaid is meant to mimic the movement of the Paua and other Kaimoana through the sea, a reminder to keep looking back to our natural way of life. ‘Kia mau ki to ahurea Māori’ Hold on to your Māori culture.
